Facts about the Shoreview Maintenance Facility

  • The first facility in the state to be certified under the
  • v2009 LEED-NC new construction rating system.
  • The first city owned facility in the nation to be certified gold under the  v2009 LEED rating system.
  • The second city maintenance facility in the nation to be certified under the v2009 LEED-NC new construction rating system.
  • The fifth city owned facility in the state to ever to be certified under any LEED rating system.

The Shoreview Maintenance Facility addition and renovation  will bring an over 40 year old building to the 21st Century.  A LEED proactive design.  We will reuse roof water for toilets and cleaning trucks, porous concrete parking areas as well as light colored roofs are only a few LEED items we will be constructing.  Addition of women's locker rooms, the upgrade of the lunchroom, addition of a conference room and office space helps the workers.

With the upgrade of the exterior matching the building with the City Hall and Library with brick columns will tie the facility into Shoreview's theme of a City Complex.
