The Tiny Diner project was innovative on many levels, and has resulted in an ‘Excellence in Development’ award from the Minnehaha Watershed. Given to a development that successfully protects water quality through the use of Low Impact Development, innovative stormwater management, and natural resource conservation techniques in the Minnehaha Creek Watershed.

MCA - Awards Of Excellence 2013
Minnesota Construction Accociation
EDS Builders, Inc. won in the Renovation, Expansion, or Tenant Improvement category for the White Lake School District Recreation Center Addition and Alterations. A $3.5 million project was an addition and remodel of a decrepit, 73 year-old school building. The project included a central recreation area, exercise room, locker rooms, concession area as well as a new gymnasium.

The City of Shoreview with Public Works Director Mark Maloney, David Olds, Vice President of Buetow and Associates and Earl "Doc" Smith, President of EDS Builders were awarded with the Project of the Year Award of Excellence by the MCA in the Green & Sustainable Project category for Shoreview's new Maintenance Center.

CMAA awarded EDS Builders the 2010 Construction Management Project Achievement Award for Buildings, New Construction Project with Constructed Value Less than $10 Million for the Columbia Heights Public Safety Center.
